VDRC-Nepal is implementing Homestead Food Production (HFP) component of the USAID-funded Suaahara II Good
Nutrition Program. Under the overall guidance of the Executive Director the Monitoring, Evaluation and Research (MER)
Officer will be responsible for the monitoring and ensuring high quality and timely inputs, and for ensuring that the
program component maintains its strategic vision and that its activities result in the achievement of its intended
outputs in a cost effective and timely manner.
The MER Officer will be primarily responsible for implementing the MER activities of the HFP component and in
preparing periodic reports on program progress. S/he will monitor the program activities on a regular basis; develop
and maintain the program MIS; and collect and analyze different data in relation to the program activities.
The MER Officer works in close collaboration and coordination with the program Technical Advisory Committee (TAC);
program teams in the VDRC-Nepal central office and program districts; and with the lead and other consortium
partners of Suaahara II program.
