Scaling-Up Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) in Nepal project is jointly implemented by LI-BIRD and CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) in Kaski, Lamjung and Nawalparasi districts with financial support from Climate & Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) from March 2015 to February 2017.

Monitoring and Evaluation Expert (Level 9-10)-1, (Head Office, Pokhara based with frequent travel to project sites)
Job summary: Reporting to the Team Leader of CSA Project, the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Expert will be responsible for designing M&E plan and conducting timely M&E. The M&E expert's duties include: oversee project baseline preparation, collect and analyze project’s data as per the project’s M&E plan, and strengthen capacity of the project staffs in project monitoring and evaluation.
Key responsibilities and tasks:
Qualification and Experience: Master’s degree in agriculture, forestry, social science, environmental science or natural resource management or related field, with 5 years work experience in monitoring, evaluation and reporting on related fields.
Required Skills and Competencies: The skills, abilities, experiences and knowledge outlined below provide a summary of what is required to carry out this job effectively. Strong conceptual, inter-personal, communication, negotiation, facilitation and representation skills; Demonstrated experience in programme planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting; Proven skills on statistical analysis; Demonstrated skills in team building; Capacity and willingness to listen and apply learned lessons by understanding the context; and ability to coach and mentor staff.
