Position: MEAL Coordinator
(1 Position-Based in Tanhun): As the focal person for Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) implementation in ReCoVER and a member of the Project Management Team (ReCoVER-PMT), you will work closely with the Project Manager and other thematic coordinators for ReCoVER to coordinate and facilitate the implementation of comprehensive MEAL system for ReCoVER and implementing partners advancing Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) work serving the poor and vulnerable. Your MEAL knowledge, coordination, and relationship management skills will ensure that the ReCoVER MEAL system applies the agency's best practices and approaches for safeguarding and data-informed decision making.
Roles and Key Responsibilities:
In coordination with MEAL Manager and Emergency and Recovery Manager, lead MEAL system design and review in line with donor and CRS guidance.
Support, and in some cases lead, compliance with agency and donor MEAL requirements, including agreed MEAL Detailed Implementation Plan activities, and liaising with project leadership
Contribute to oversight and guidance on quality data capture, input and management, qualitative and quantitative analysis, reflection, and ongoing use of MEAL data results through respectful management of agreed processes.
Oversee accountability through coordinating project evaluation activities and assisting partners in their efforts to collect and analyze project data per specified mechanisms and tools.
Document and disseminate field-based perspectives and initial findings to project learning.
Contribute to respectful relationships and dialogue regarding ongoing project interventions and results with community members and stakeholders.
Contribute to capacity strengthening initiatives in conducting field-based and simple analytical MEAL activities for CRS staff, partner staff, and volunteers.
In coordination with program teams, oversee the Feedback Complaints Response Mechanism and other MEAL/program approaches to ensure accountability, safeguarding, and gender, and social inclusion priorities.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of work experience in project support in a similar role.
Experience in the field of MEAL and for an NGO preferred
Experience in participatory action planning and community engagement.
Experience monitoring projects and collecting relevant data preferred.
Additional education may substitute for some experience; additional experience may substitute for some education
Also preferred Master’s degree in International Development, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
Experience working with partners, participatory action planning, and community engagement.
Staff supervision experience a plus.
Experience monitoring projects and collecting relevant data.
Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Local expertise w/ permanent address in project district and local language competency is a plus.
