Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five  years of experience in managing a book acquisitions program in libraries or educational institutions or publishing houses or non-governmental organizations is required. One year of supervisory experience is required. 

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Humanities or Social Sciences is required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: Level IV (Fluent) speaking/reading/writing English is required. Level IV (Fluent) speaking/reading/writing Nepali is required.

Please specify in your application your level of proficiency in ALL languages listed above.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:  Knowledge on acquisitions and basic cataloging is required. Understanding of political and social sciences, literature and history of Nepal is required. 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Excellent research skills, analytical skills, interpersonal skill and negotiation skills is required.  Ability to use automated systems and various internet based applications and Windows-based computer applications such as MS Outlook, Excel and MS Word is required. 

Qualifications:
