Job Description

Position:JTA, Agriculture

Placement: Based at district project office in Rasuwa.

Number of Required Personnel: 1

Key Job Responsibilities:

The JTA will report to the Livelihood Officer and is responsible for distributing agricultural inputs (seed, irrigation materials, plastic sheets, poultry, goat etc.) to the community, identifying/forming/reforming farmers groups, assist livelihood officer in conducting training to the local groups, forming saving and credit groups and supporting those groups in mobilizing saving and credit fund. Similarly, provide technical input in implementing project activities related to animal husbandry.

Preferred Qualification and Experience: At least Technical SLC (JTA in Agriculture) with minimum 2 years of work experience. Good oral and written communication skills in English and Nepali.

Organization Summary

BATAS Foundation is a non-profit and non-governmental organization established in 2008 with the aim of building a just community of skilled and self-motivated individuals. Initiated as a Corporate Social Responsibility of BATAS Organisation, BATAS Foundation is an autonomous NGO. However the Foundation still enjoys many forms of technical and financial support from the company when needed.
