City Express Money Transfer is seeking a skilled and motivated IT Officer to join our dynamic team. The IT Manager/Officer will be responsible for providing technical support, managing the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of hardware and software system, and maintaining data security. The successful candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent problem solving skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Job Title : IT Manager / IT Officer
Responsibilities:
IT Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and networking systems. Monitor and maintain server performance, network connection, and security measures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, softwa re, and network related issues promptly.
- Coordinate with external vendors for hardware repairs and maintenance.
User Support and Training:
- Provide technical support to end-users by troubleshooting and resolving software and hardware problems. Assist users in setting up new hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Conduct training sessions to educate employees on IT policies, procedures, and best practices. Ensure proper documentation of support activities and maintain an updated knowledge base.
Data Security and Backup:
- Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and access controls.
- Regularly monitor systems for potential security breaches and promptly address any vulnerabilities. Perform data backups and ensure data integrity and disaster recovery plans are in place.
- Stay updated on the latest IT security trends and implement necessary measures to safeguard company data.
IT Asset Management:
- Maintain an inventory of hardware, software licenses, and IT equipment.
- Coordinate procurement of new IT assets and ensure proper asset allocation and disposal. Track and manage software licenses, ensuring compliance with software usage agreements.
System Upgrades and Maintenance:
- Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and installations.
- Collaborate with IT Manager and Stakeholders to evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions. • Conduct regular maintenance activities, such as system performance tuning and optimizing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven work experience of 4 or more years as an IT Officer, IT Support Specialist, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and operating systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues and resolving software and hardware problems.
- Familiarity with IT security principles and practices.
- Experience in managing and maintaining servers, SQL databases, and network infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Certifications in relevent IT fields (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) is a plus.
- Previous experience in Bank and F1's, Mobile Wallet and Remittance company shall be an added advantage.
