Social Accountability in the Health Sector
Terms of Reference
Intern, Research
Introduction
The DFID-funded Social Accountability in the Health Sector programme seeks to promote coherence and effectiveness of social accountability initiativestoward a more effective and responsive health service governance and delivery. The programme conducts multiple studies in social accountability and dialogues around them to build consensus.
Scope
The selected intern will support the studies team on Applied Political Economy Analysis (APEA) and Situational Analysis (SA).S/he is required to work at Pact office at most of the time. The detail responsibilities for intern as below:
Collect data
Call enumerators for verification of data, information
Collate data of APEA and SA as per the instruction of the research team
Write short narratives as asked by the research team based on the data or desk study
Perform other task as required by the study team in relation to the studies
Reporting
The intern will be mentored by and report to the lead researcher.
Qualifications:
The expected qualifications and competencies required for the intern includes:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Social Sciences or related discipline
Demonstrated experience in data analysis preferred.
Prior knowledge and experience in data collection or research will be preferred
Have good interpersonal and communication skills
Timeframe
Nearly seven weeks. The assignment will start from August 19-and end on October 15, 2019. The term may be extended for six months upon satisfactory performance.
Remuneration
Pact doesn’t pay remuneration for interns but compensate for transportation and other basic expenses.
