Summary: The U.S. Mission in Kathmandu, Nepal is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Human Resources Clerk. This position is open to all interested applicants.

The work schedule for this position is Full Time (40 hours per week).

Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties

Under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Management Specialist, the incumbent performs various administrative duties and Human Resources (HR) support functions.  The incumbent supports processing of upon arrival/residential visas and diplomatic ID cards. The incumbent assists with HR information management, data entry, documentation, events  management, calendar management and visitor support services.  The incumbent orders and maintains expendable supplies for HR office use. The incumbent reports time and attendance for the HR Section and serves as a back up to other HR team members as and when required.

 

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years of work experience in the field of administrative or human resources management is required.

Education Requirements:

Two years of university studies is required.

LANGUAGE: Fluent speaking/reading/writing English is required. Fluent speaking/reading/writing Nepali is required.

KNOWLEDGE: Good knowledge of general office operations and procedural requirements pertaining to functions performed in an Administrative or a Human Resources Office is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Good interpersonal skill is required.  Ability to use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook and designing applications such as Canva, Publisher etc. is required.
