The Spinal Injury Rehabilitation Centre (SIRC- Run by Spinal Sangh Nepal) is the non-profit charitable organization. It was inaugurated in April, 2002 by the late Sir Edmund Hillary, at Jorpati, Kathmandu, Nepal. It shifted to its current custom-built facility at Saanga village, Kavre District, in 2008. Over nearly a decade of work, the Spinal Centre has developed a range of facilities to support the spinal injured people of Nepal, who come from the most marginalized bracket of society. The centre offers holistic rehabilitation services to spinal cord injured patients so that they are able to rebuild their lives within the limits of their ability when they go back to the society.
