Job Description

The Spinal Injury Rehabilitation Centre (SIRC- Run by Spinal Sangh Nepal) is the non-profit charitable organization. It was inaugurated in April, 2002 by the late Sir Edmund Hillary, at Jorpati, Kathmandu, Nepal. It shifted to its current custom-built facility at Saanga village, Kavre District, in 2008. Over nearly a decade of work, the Spinal Centre has developed a range of facilities to support the spinal injured people of Nepal, who come from the most marginalized bracket of society. The centre offers holistic rehabilitation services to spinal cord injured patients so that they are able to rebuild their lives within the limits of their ability when they go back to the society.

Job Description: HR Officer

- Policy Related: implement the HR policy on day to day HR functions
- Recruitment and Selection

  • Develop job description and job specification for new position to be hired
  • Coordinate for vacancy announcement and involve in short listing the candidates
  • Involve in recruitment and selection
  • Decide upon contract staff renewal or dismissal based on organizational work requirement and performance analysis

- Job Description

  • Develop and update the job description of staff frequently and as per need

- Placement, Orientation, Training and Development

  • Provide orientation and preliminary training to new staff hired
  • Develop training program and conduct the training program for new staff hired (If required)
  • Do training need assessment for current staff coordinating with line managers/HODs
  • Involve in measuring training effectiveness and learning by trainee

- Performance Appraisal and Counseling

  • Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI) as per job and position
  • Develop numeric and descriptive performance appraisal system
  • Coordinate with line managers and staff for performance appraisal
  • Provide feedback to staff based on their performance appraisal report and also to management
  • Involve in counseling to staff to improve their performance, productivity and work satisfaction
  • Grievances handling 

- Training and Development

  • Explore the training, workshop and conference
  • Proceed for sending staff on training, workshop and conference as per the Training Policy

- Staffs’ attendance and leave management
- Coordinate for all the international volunteers who come at SIRC for placement
- Conflict and grievance handling

  • Proceed the conflict and grievance issues as per the policy

- Carry out other day to day HR related functions

Job Specification

  • Master in Business Administration (MBA)  from recognized university
  • Minimum one year of experience in the related filed or in Corporate HR
  • The candidate must be outgoing, smart, strategic and have ability to solve conflicts and HR related problems.
  • The candidate must have knowledge about labor rules and regulations of Nepal
