Created in 1982, Handicap International Federation, operating as Humanity & Inclusion (HI) is an independent and impartial aid organization working across 60 countries. HI is a co-winner of the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize and winner of the 2011 Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize. The organization works alongside the vulnerable populations, whatever the context, taking action and bearing witness in order to respond to their essential needs, improve their living conditions and promote respect for their dignity and fundamental rights.
Present in Nepal since 2000, HI works through a network of local partner organizations in the area of physical rehabilitation, inclusive education & livelihood, emergency response and human rights to improve the living conditions and involvement of vulnerable populations in Nepal. HI Nepal is looking for the following position:
Human Resource and Administration Manager
Under the direct supervision of Country Director, s/he will be responsible for an overall management of Human Resources (HR) and administrative functions of HI Nepal program.
Job Description:
Develop and update HR policies and ensure compliance to and implementation of the policies, systems and practices in the entire HR and admin activities
Manage the overall talent acquisition and retaining of talents
Oversee the contract and benefits administration in regard to issuance, renewal and revision for employment contracts
Conduct training needs assessment, develop and facilitate implementation of the training plan
Provide guidance to line managers and staff on performance management with special focus on staff development plans and performance appraisals
Provide supervision and guidance to the HR and Admin team handling HRIS, Insurances,Induction and other HR and Admin related functions
Master’s degree in Business Administration with specialization in Human Resources Management
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the field of Human Resources Management with at least 2 years of proven experience in a managerial role with involvement in strategic human resource management role
Sound knowledge of Human Resources processes and related tools and updated knowledge of local labour laws
Strong communication and inter-personal skills, dynamic, team player and strategic thinker
Excellent standard of spoken and written Nepali and English languages.
