Floor cleaning is another regular duty, which includes sweeping and mopping, as well as occasional buffing. Housekeepers are responsible for emptying trashcans and cleaning air vents. They also clean furnishings and horizontal surfaces to remove dust and dirt. When housekeepers observe potential maintenance issues or resident problems, they report them to management.
