Health and Immunization Specialist (Based in Butwal)
The Health and Immunization Specialist is responsible to provide technical support to the project team, partners, provincial health directorate and concerned local government authority in planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and advocacy activities related to strengthening health system for COVID-19 health response and immunization programs. S/he will support CARE country office team with necessary information and data and other field level experiences required for the fund generation. S/he will work closely with M&E team to collect and document relevant case studies and process documentation as a part of disseminating project’s effectiveness. S/he will work in close coordination and maintain a good working relationship with the province and local authority, NGO partner, government line agencies and other stakeholders in the province and district for the smooth operation of project activities. S/he will represent CARE in the provincial health directorate and district and play a key role in providing technical support to government counterpart and partners.
This is the fixed term role based in Butwal, with more than 50% of field visits in project districts; Kanchanpur, Kailali, Bardia, Banke, Kapilbastu, Rupendehi and Nawalparasi. This position will report to the Team leader, Butwal office and work in close consultation with Health Program Manager, Humanitarian Platform Manager and the entire COVID response team.
