JOB DESCRIPTION
The Consortium for Elections and Political Process Strengthening (CEPPS) is a co-equal, legal joint venture established in 1995 between the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), the International Republican Institute (IRI), and the National Democratic Institute (NDI). In Nepal, CEPPS is currently implementing a five year (2017-2022) program Niti Sambad aimed at improving governance systems to increase transparency, inclusivity, and accountability with the Legislature Parliament (LP); supporting the Election Commission, Nepal (ECN) to institutionalize electoral best practices; supporting the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) and the Prime Minister’s Office with strategic communication; and empowering political parties to function more effectively, inclusively, and efficiently.
CEPPS is seeking candidates for a Gender and Social Inclusion (GESI) Coordinator to identify and integrate best GESI practices into the GEPT/CEPPS Niti Sambad program. S/he will work closely with the CEPPS partners to ensure GESI is integrated throughout all aspects of program activities and provide training to staff and partners as necessary to improve their GESI awareness and integration skills. This position is available immediately for a yearlong contract with the option to renew beyond the first year depending on availability of funds. The GESI Coordinator will report to the NDI Senior Resident Director, while working closely with IFES and IRI senior leadership to ensure effective coordination and collaboration.
