Support Research and Survey undertaken by NHRC by providing gender perspective to improve women’s health, particularly in relation to violence against women and girls, and women’s access to health services. ï‚· Identify factors related to women and girls health that have a positive or negative impact on women’s right to health issues that helps to address women's health concerns and needs that lead to transformation gender relation. ï‚· Support Nepal Health Research Council staff in developing concept paper and writing report to reduce health inequities and ensure effective use of health resources by women and girls in Nepal to reduce violence against women ï‚· Support NHRC in developing data collection methodology, and a data analysis using gender lens. ï‚· Provide technical support in monitoring and evaluating effective implementation of national laws and policies on women’s health rights enacted by Government of Nepal (GoN) and ensure its compliance with International convention and resolution ï‚· Strengthen the understanding of a range of governmental, non-governmental organizations, district level governmental bodies and partners on Sustainable Development Goals objectives and importance and assist in setting up indicators in order to be able to contribute in the nationalization process ï‚· Contribute to design of advocacy materials and promote initiatives for advocacy and policy dialogue to prevent VAW ï‚· Provide technical input to the “One community, One Family” project and support in disseminating research findings to stakeholders that can be translated into policy and programming |
Essential ï‚· Minimum of a Master’s degree in Social Science, Gender, Public Health, Monitoring and Evaluation, Public Policy/Administration or related field. ï‚· At least 5 years of experience in Research and monitoring &, evaluation, with a preference for some experience in Gender, Health, Social Welfare or related field. ï‚· Strong writing and organizational skills, especially for monitoring and reporting on activity and study results. ï‚· Good level of proficiency in Office package (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint), qualitative and quantitative analysis ï‚· Experience in research methodology design from gender perspective and M&E plan development ï‚· Ability to design M&E tools, surveys, and data analysis ï‚· Data analysis experience including knowledge of SPSS or similar statistical package ï‚· Attention to detail and ability to effectively and efficiently perform multiple tasks and balance competing priorities often within a limited timeframe. ï‚· Cross cultural awareness and ability to work amongst a diverse group of staff, partners and donors. ï‚· Full professional proficiency in spoken and written English. ï‚· Published publications on gender perspectives in International Peer Reviewed Journals Desirable ï‚· Experience working with government entities ï‚· Skilled in strategic management ï‚· Management training/experience ï‚· Experience working in resource limited environment ï‚· Has good communication skills ï‚· Attention to detail and ability to effectively and efficiently perform multiple tasks and balance competing priorities often within a limited timeframe. |
