1. General Objectives of this position:
The main objective of this job holder is to take overall responsibilities of daily financial management of ChildFund Japan Kathmandu office under the supervision of another Finance Officer.
2. Task Allocation:
â‘ Daily bank business such as cash / cheque deposit, cash withdrawal, collection of bank statement sheets
â‘¡ Manage daily transactions such as preparing vouchers for payment, issuing cheques, etc.
â‘¢ Proper maintenance of both computerized as well as manual recording of financial transactions along with proper supporting documents
â‘£ Timely payment of regular expenses such as electricity, telephones, newspaper, internet, house rent, etc.
⑤ Prepare draft monthly financial report and submit to the supervisor
â‘¥ Manage petty cash
⑦ Timely deposit of TDS to tax office, salary including CIT, PF
⑧ Encoding of ETDS and tax clearance
⑨ Quotation collection, compilation of quotations, recommendation in selecting suppliers for the procurement of fixed assets and office equipment
â‘© Update the inventory records of fixed assets and office equipment including labelling at quarterly basis, and conduct its physical verification at year end.
⑪ Take lead role in disposition of fixed assets, office equipment, and office supplies
â‘« Ensure the stock of vouchers and letter head, and initiate its printing
⑬ Timely submission of audit report to head office and concerned agencies
â‘ Timely renewal of PAN
â‘® Ensure compliance with policies and guidelines of the organization and the laws and regulations of government of Nepal
3. Required qualification:
• Bachelor degree in finance, accounting or related field, Master degree is advantage
• At least 3 years relevant working experience in INGO/NGO/donor agencies
4. General Requirement:
• Fluency in Nepali, other local dialect an advantage
• Fluency in English language, verbal and written
• Good communication skills, verbal and written
• Good interpersonal skills, a team player
• Have a positive attitude, self-motivated, confident
• Willingness to commit to ChildFund vision, mission and core values
