CARE Nepal is an international humanitarian organization working in the country for the past 37 years. It currently works in 44 districts through various programs on issues relating to improving the lives of the poorest and most vulnerable populations through programs that work on the following themes: food security and climate change; emergency preparedness and DRR; migration and urbanization; sexual reproductive and maternal health; gender based violence; women and girls’ leadership. CARE Nepal hereby invites applications from interested candidates for the following position, based in Kathmandu.
1. Finance Officer – Grants and Budgets (based in Kathmandu)
Key responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible mainly for donor report preparation, quality and consistency check of the grant and budget related matters in CARE Nepal central office. S/he will also support data entry, checking in Adaptive Planning and facilitate to PMs / TLs for entering budgets in Adaptive Planning and transferring budgets in PeopleSoft system. The incumbent will also support to Grants and Budget Specialist for coordinating grants, contracts and budget related matters with donors, CMPs, SSC and CHQ. This incumbent is also expected to support GBS on coaching to field program and finance staff on budgeting, expenses tracking and overall grants management.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Management or a related field with at least 3 years of working experience in a similar field having ERP based accounting software knowledge (preferred having auditing experience).
