The candidate for this job position shall report to the CEO and shall have the following job responsibilities, and education and experience:
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare appropriate policies and procedures for smooth functioning of Finance Department of the Company and its associated entities
Set up chart-of-accounts commensurate to NFRS
Maintain the accounting system up-to-date
Present monthly performance report and financial status by collecting, interpreting and reportingsufficient and appropriate financial data
Fulfill all regulatory obligations within the stipulated deadline
Present variance reporting on monthly basis or on such periodic basis as advised by the Board
Maintain receivables outstanding no greater than 60 days and advise/apprise corrective measuresto the CEO/Board
Reconcile bank accounts, receivables, payables and other accounts on monthly basis
Control assets of the Company and its associated entities
Coach juniors and colleagues of the Finance Department
Cooperate with the auditors during the annual audit/internal audit
Any other duties and responsibilities as instructed by the CEO
Education and experience:
Chartered Accountants designation or accounting designation from IFAC recognized professional bodies along with Bachelor’s degree in business studies/ management/ administration with first division
3 years of post-designation experience
All round experience in Nepalese tax system and corporate laws
Experience of SAP ERP shall be an asset
Very fluent in English (speaking and written) and have sound communication skills
High skill in Office 365 and other office application
Skill in VBA coding and SQL shall be asset
Minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute, 60 words per minute highly desirable
