The Finance and Administration Officer (FAO) is responsible for the day to day financial management and administrative coordination of Survivors Nepal. The FAO assists the Director, the Executive Board and the Survivors team in financial planning, financial management and reporting and human resource management based on the policies and procedures of Survivors Nepal and in accord with the organisation’s values and principles.
Financial Management
Develop and implement effective financial management systems and processes, budget control and accounting management, preparation and monitoring of annual budgets.
Procurement and asset management, procuring supplies, goods and equipment for office use, following the procurement process specified in the Survivors’ procurement manual.
Manage the day-to- day expenses of Survivors Nepal, the petty cash account and all office expenses. Develop financial plans, project budgets and grant proposals and monitor and support sub-grantees. Prepare detailed monthly financial reports for the Board including bank balances, monthly expenses, variances and budget versus actual, according to the donor programs and/or according to the projects.
Administration
Develop and implement administrative systems and processes including an efficient filing system, labelling and tracking all office documents, correspondence, agreements, project documentation and other relevant materials. Manage office supplies and consumables, maintain staff attendance and leave records, monitor compliance and manage the confidential HR documents including agreements, appraisals and others. Manage staff payroll.
