CARE Nepal invites applications from interested candidates for the following full time positions for the USAID funded project Hariyo Ban Nepal ko Dhan Program. The Hariyo Ban Nepalko Dhan Program (Hariyo Ban Program) aims to reduce the adverse impacts of climate change and threats to biodiversity in Nepal. This program is being implemented in two important landscapes of Nepal, Terai Arc Landscape and Chitwan Annapurna Landscape of Nepal.
Field Officers (2 positions based in Kailali and Rautahat)
Key responsibilities:
The Field Officer will coordinate with the communities, local community facilitators, partners and other stakeholders to accomplish Hariyo Ban Program activities. As the Field Officer s/he will be responsible for the overall implementation of the program activities. The main responsibility of the Field Officer will be coordination, planning, implementation and monitoring of program activities in the field. S/he will also be responsible for program efforts to generate new concepts and ideas for enhancing program effectiveness.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Intermediate with at least 3 years of similar work experience. S/he should be technically sound in program planning, implementation and participatory monitoring. Strong knowledge and experience in community mobilization; excellent communication skills; comfortable and adaptable to changing environment; basic report writing skills for program activity reporting and a basic understanding on RBA, GESI and poverty related issues.
