Good Neighbors Nepal (GNN) is a national NGO working in Nepal since 2002 with the objective of improving the lives of people, especially community through education, livelihood activities, health services, WASH, advocacy, network building, Open Defecation Free Campaign and disaster risk reduction. GNN invites application for following positions for Urban Agriculture and Economic Development (A & ED) Project in Kathmandu with the funding of World Vision International Nepal (WVIN).

Detailed Job Description / Requirements:
Job Purpose: Work with producer groups, and build their capacity so that they can have access to lucrative and sustainable markets; facilitate SWOT analysis of producer group; and facilitate producer group meeting and ensure effective implementation. Also work with saving groups to encourage saving of the community people and waste collectors/pickers to encourage waste management and income generation.

Good Neighbors Nepal (Ashal Chhimeki Nepal) is working since 2002 in Nepal from after registration in District Administration Office, Kathmandu with the goal of transformation of the community development through livelihood improvement with the focus to helpless, disable, old aged people and imparting them for the self reliant of them. In addition to this, children are the focal point of the organization in line with their family and community. Moreover, education, health & WASH, livelihood, emergency response along with cross cutting issues are the major areas of intervention for ensuring the improved livelihood of the community people.
Currently, it is working in 14 different districts of Nepal and implementing five different kinds projects: Community Development Projects, Food for New Village, and Village Income through Value Addition, Livelihood Improvement Project and Capacity Building on Recovery & Resilient Project. The focused group of the target community is the backward and marginalized people of the communities for example, Pahari a ethnic minority, dalit, Ex-Kamaiyas (ex-bonded labor), geographically excluded regions (Karnali) and the ultra poor. This is very important to improve the living standard of them for mainstreaming them along with providing the accessibility in the services. In this way we can transform the community for the sustainable development and leading through holistic community development.
