Field Logistics Officer

Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Procurement:

1. Conduct all procurement processes in line with GOAL and Donor regulations and in line with the logs manual
2. Ensure that all procurement data is accurately updated in OTS and contract database
3. Identify reliable and cost effective contractors and suppliers
4. Provide costs of logistical requirements for project planning and budgeting purposes.
5. Ensure quality for GOAL Nepal project purchases at the time of delivery by supplier
6. Obtain accurate and complete quotes from vendors and ensure all correct paperwork is filled

Fleet:

1. Ensure proper monitoring of fleet use at field and update fleet report

Others:

1. Monitor stock and storage by partner in compliance with GOAL and donor requirements
2. Update all hard copy file and soft version in SharePoint
3. All logistics related reporting to CO/HQ & SharePoint is updated on time
4. Arrange meeting and other related logistics as per program need
5. Any other duties as requested by supervisor

Essential Credentials:

• Graduation in commerce
• Certificate/Diploma in Procurement/ Logistics/ Supply Chain Management
• 3 years working experience in logistics department with 1 year in INGO

Desirable Credentials:

• Strong multi tasking management skills including close attention to detail.
• Good communication skills, both oral and written in English
• Strong organizational skills and ability to plan effectively
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Computer literacy in Microsoft systems and its applications such as Word, Excel .
