CARE Nepal hereby invites applications from interested candidates for the following full time position for the USAID funded Sustainable Action for Resilience and Food Security (SABAL)
1. DRR and CCA Manager (Based in Kathmandu)
Key responsibilities:
The DRR and CCA Manager will guide the implementation of the SABAL project through strategic guidance and technical backstopping at the project level. The role will ensure successful integration, implementation and mainstreaming of climate change adaptation issues with disaster risk reduction at local development and sectoral planning processes. S/he will also provide technical backstopping and facilitation, working closely with the other consortium managers and in coordination with other relevant stakeholders ensuring achievement of objectives in timely and cost effective manner.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Master’s Degree in Natural Resource Management, Climate Change, Disaster Management, Forestry, Agriculture or any relevant subject with 3 years of relevant experience in the field of DRR.
