Job Description
This is a long term and high level position based in Kathmandu Office of S.W. Nepal Pvt. Ltd (Scott Wilson Nepal) /Deego Pvt Ltd in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu. We are a group of Nepali consultancy firms working for more than 12 years in the development sector (see www.scottwilsonnepal.com.np for details).
Qualifications and experience:
• Masters degree in relevant development and/or management field with at least 6 years of experience in development sector.
• Excellent written and communication command of English and Nepali languages.
• Excellent interpersonal and managerial skills.
• Exposure to wider developmental thinking and broader knowledge of developmental practices.
• Team player, self-starter and proactive
• Proficient in key computer applications.
Personal abilities
• Fluent in English and Nepali (spoken and written).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, and other database applications. Strong IT knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Able to apply analytical and innovative tools successfully to produce creative and valuable solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in diverse team environments.
A. Project management
• Provide technical backstopping to project teams.
• Oversee project activities and ensure quality and timely deliverables
• Monitor progress and quality of internal projects working with respective teams
• Review project specific reports for quality and consistency.
• Organise a robust CV database and records.
• Build and maintain distinctive client relationship
• Maintain a warm professional relationship with key expert/professional circles.
B. Marketing support
• Manage marketing materials and project procurements.
• Regular tracking of the donor/client's portals and national daily for new projects of interest and internally communicates accordingly.
• Prepare project technical and financial proposals. Identify expert team members for projects.
• Regularly update/develop marketing materials and experts’ CV database.
• Update and manage contents of SW Nepal website regularly.
• Document project based information/ projects sheets etc periodically.
C. Administrative and human resource management
• Management of day to day office administration and report to CEO.
• Monitor personnel files (contracts, ToR based performance, travel, payments etc) for national and international consultants
• Contribute in developing and implementing company policies, standards and procedures
• Support CEO in implementing and leading a continuous quality improvement process throughout the service areas
• Support CEO in internal leadership activities (human resources, administration, and organizational planning, recruiting, staff performance reviews, staff deployment/workload balancing, career progression)
