Job Description

World Vision International Nepal (WVIN). an international Chrrstan relief, development and advocacy organisation dedicated to working with children. families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice, is looking for potential Nepalese candidates to fill out the following positions:

I. Position: Development Programme Approach (DPA) Assessment Coordinator (Three) - based in Rautahat, Mahottari and Bajhang:

Key Responsibilities: Under the supervision of Field MEAL Specialist and dotted reporting to the Evidence Specialist, DPA Assessment Coordinator is primarily responsible for collection of several types of information. through community consultation activities, stakeholders interviews and secondary document study and prepare assessment report for new Area Development Program (ADP) and also to contribute on programme design for the same area. The position will closely work with Iocal NGO partner to conduct several community¬based activities related to assessment and design. She will be responsible to take care of overall coordination of the DPA assessment activities in the respective district (LPA). The position requires frequent visits to communities, NGO partner and government agencies in the respective district.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required: Bachelor's degree in social sciences or in any discipline that is suitable for development works with at least 2 years of experience in assessment monitoring or research. Preferred: At least one-year additional involvement in design, monitoring and evaluation work and demonstrated competency on report writing.

Should have strong community consultation skills and the ability to work under pressure. Should be familiar with data collection methodologies - qualitative and quantitative. sampling techniques. Should be able to develop qualitative and quantitative tools. Should have events facilitation skills for  diversified group of audiences. Should be proficient in use of Excel and have quantitative data analysis skills. Should have report writing skills with clarity and coherence of content. Preferred: Have the confidence to represent the organisation in district; governnent and other like-minded organisation. Have understanding WV'S vision, mission, core values and strategic mandates.
