Duration of post: This position is for 6 months subject to date of joining.
Main purpose of job:
To lead crisis preparedness for the British Embassy, Kathmandu.
Roles and responsibilities:
Working with the Deputy Ambassador and Regional Crisis Advisor (in New Delhi), ensure the Embassy has completed appropriate preparations for a crisis through:
Essential qualifications, skills and experience
Essential on arrival: Experience of planning and organising in complex environments. A proven record of good interpersonal skills. A self-starter, able to work autonomously.
Computer literate – Word, Outlook (email) and Excel
Desirable: Crisis, consular or emergency response experience. Working with international organisations.

SALARY PACKAGE:
For British Embassy candidates, the Local Staff BE Terms & Conditions will apply. For candidates external to the British Embassy, Basic salary will be NPR 58,164 per month.
