Introduction:
Yonder Music, a mobile-only, digital music service with a revolutionary legal free-to-consumers business model seeks a Malaysian-based Country Manager who will be responsible for supporting the company’s partnership with the local carrier.
The position is a Director role, responsible for all operations of Yonder inside the territory. The Country Manager is accountable for the profit and loss of the business (P&L) and manages all staff in the country. The position reports to the General Manager of Operations, Asia, currently located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
General Management:
Lead in recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, communicating, developing initiatives, strategies, objectives, assigning accountability, planning, monitoring
Build company image by collaborating with the team, maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. Instill a sense of ownership and accountability with all country staff.
Align all marketing, sales, product, tech to ensure a clear vision and business strategy with corporate goals and values.
Work with executive management to ensure that the organization has the resources to enable it to achieve its plans (e.g. execution of brand plans) such as marketing funds, people, and business tools.
Implement and execute processes and procedures to ensure interactive channels for communication and feedback
Protect and enhance the global brand image and reputation of the company products and the business.
Build the capabilities of direct reports by recruiting and managing staff, including performance monitoring, and mentoring and training. Works with company legal counsel to comply with any local regulatory issues.
Relationship Management:
Maintain and develop the relationship with the client as a strategic partner by understanding and monitoring client’s needs to better deliver solutions to business objectives.
Act as primary liaison between client and Company across multi-disciplinary teams, spanning marketing, product, and technology. Drives, either directly or indirectly through staff, negotiations with the carrier partner in areas such as contracts and renewals, marketing commitments, commercial disputes, and financial obligations.
Assist in managing the relationships with recording label partners.
Project Management:
Assist in defining client and Company project scope and objectives, including project planning, scheduling, and resource estimation. Coordinate client and Company resources to ensure that all marketing, reporting and product initiatives meet their scope, time, budget and quality expectations.
Reporting:
Manage business reporting and responsible for payment and billing milestones.
Compile monthly reports on key Company acquisition and engagement metrics to share with the client.
Financial Management:
Establishing plans, budgets results in measurements, allocating resources, reviewing progress, coordinates actions with country staff
