Practical Action seeks to recruit a Communications Specialist for 6 months with possibility of extension. The incumbent will work under the ‘Earthquake Response Project’ funded by Christian Aid based in Kathmandu. S/he should have minimum Bachelors degree in any discipline preferably in communications related subject with at least a year’s experience in knowledge materials production, marketing, journalism or communications.
Reporting to the Head of Programme Funding and Communications, s/he will be responsible for effective content management. The role identifies and shares the best stories that show how Christian Aid and its partners are changing the lives of thousands of women, men and children during the post-earthquake period in Nepal. Responsibilities include capturing latest news, results, best practices and learnings from the programme. S/he writes, edits, commissions and repurposes a varied mix of content.
