Practical Action is an INGO which aims to reduce poverty through wider use of appropriate technologies in developing countries. It works in more than 45 countries through its offices in Bangladesh, Bolivia, India, Kenya, Nepal, Peru, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Sudan and Zimbabwe.
Practical Action seeks to recruit Climate Change Officer to be based in its Regional Office in Kathmandu. The incumbent will work under the Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Programme. She should have minimum Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in environmental science, climate science and natural resources management with at least three years of experience in carrying out research, participatory assessment, collecting data, analysis, reporting and presentation.

Reporting to the Head of Programme, she will be responsible to support and undertake the programme activities in areas of community vulnerability assessment and identifying adaptation needs, prepare appropriate policy interventions, developing policies and strategies including networking and coordinating with different stakeholders.
