Key responsibilities: The Climate Change Adaptation Coordinator (CCAC) will be responsible for overall leadership,
direction and coordination of the Climate Adaptation component, including climate change vulnerability assessment,
watershed management, natural resources management, community development, applied research, strengthening public
sector service delivery systems, technical and program innovations, monitoring and evaluation as well as multi-sector
approaches. S/he will also provide scientific backstopping and guidance, working closely with the other program
components and cross cutting theme coordinators. The CCAC is required to maintain close coordination with consortium
partners, relevant government ministries and departments including other national stakeholders. S/he will also take the
lead in research activities, national policy dialogue and other national level interventions related to the Climate Adaptation
component and contribute in similar processes for other components.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Master’s degree (Ph. D preferred) in natural resource management, forestry,
climate science, environmental studies, or a related field. At least 10 years of experience in design, development and
execution of NRM and poverty and community development related projects. Experience in developing and
mainstreaming Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) into development project.
