Job Description
Minimum Requirements:

PhD or Master’s degree in a relevant field.

A minimum of seven years of work experience in areas of civil society strengthening, governance and policy issues around civil society and government engagement and/or in a development sector related to the area of work for this position.

Experience in project management and solid knowledge of the Nepalese civil society sector is required.

Prior experience with advocacy work, influencing public policy and monitoring government performance, gender equality and social inclusions will be added assets.

Designing and implementing civil society or organizational capacity-building activities is required.

Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate prior experiences on advocacy work, influencing public policy and monitoring government performance, and gender equality and social inclusion.

Knowledge of USAID regulations is preferable.

Proficiency in English and Nepali, both in written and spoken forms is required. Knowledge of any local language spoken in project priority districts is highly desired.

Able to travel occasionally to Nepalgunj and project target sites in Western and earthquake-affected districts is required.
