Job Description

 Assisting the lead quality Surveyor and project manager in all aspect of estimating, cost control, cost forecasting and reporting.

• Review project plans, requirements, and specifications
• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs
• Knowledge and understanding of unit costs and production rates for self-performed tasks
• Prepare preliminary project schedules
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors for specified materials and products, identifying qualified subcontractors, and negotiating price
• Review preliminary quotes and pre-bid proposals
• Resolve cost discrepancies and implement cost saving methods
• Prepare subcontractor bid list and make project documents available to subcontractors
• Attend project site pre-bid meetings, site tours, and post-bid interviews
• Participate in final bid/proposal submission.
• Perform post-bid analysis
• Prepare purchase contracts and subcontracts.
• Ability to collaboratively work with the project management team throughout a project life cycle
• Perform other duties as assigned
