hemonics seeks a chief of party for the anticipated five-year, USAID-funded Program for Aquatic Natural Resources Improvement (PANI) in Nepal. This project will work to strengthen Nepal's capacity for biodiversity conservation and climate change adaptation. The chief of party will manage overall project implementation, providing oversight for technical, administrative, and financi​​al components of PANI. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
​Provide leadership for technical, administrative, and financial management aspects of PANI
Prepare, review, and monitor contract reporting and deliverables
Liaise with USAID/Nepal, Government of Nepal (GON) entities, and Chemonics home office and other project partners and stakeholders
Provide technical implementation expertise to project components
Qualifications:
​Bachelor's degree in relevant field required
Minimum 10 years of experience in relevant technical areas, including: aquatic natural resources, integrated water resources management, freshwater biodiversity
Experience as a chief of party, including managerial and operational experience
Professional experience in the region required; experience in Nepal preferred
Strong interpersonal skills
Exceptional written and oral language skills
Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
Fluency in English required
