Job Description:
Under the direct supervision of the project coordinator, Case Support Officer will be responsible to support the cases of Nepali migrant workers in problems in the origin and destination countries (particularly to Middle East and Malaysia) referred by partner organization and PNCC network.
Duties and Responsibilities:
ï‚· Responsible for handling all the cases of distressed Nepali migrant workers and their families related with problems in the destination countries coming to PNCC office from the working districts of PNCC and partner organizations
ï‚· Responsible for the follow up of all the cases related to the destination countries and share the case progress to the concerned information centers from where the case has been referred
ï‚· Responsible the timely solving of the cases
ï‚· Work in close coordination with the information centers focal persons supported by partner organization
ï‚· Work in close coordination with partners, and coordinate and communicate with them regarding the progress of the case
ï‚· Support distressed migrant workers in collecting evidences and support to families of destitute Nepali migrant workers in order to provide them compensation and benefits guaranteed by the existing laws/provisions of Nepal as well as of destination countries.
ï‚· Support to online-database of all the cases referred by sources and maintain proper case file and case studies of supported cases.
ï‚· Liaison with different diplomatic missions, government authorities so as to follow up and solve the cases received from the distressed migrant workers and their families.
ï‚· Assist project coordinator and support to effective implementation of the project.
Required Education, Experience and Competencies:
ï‚· Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Sciences/Law/Human Rights and related field
ï‚· Minimum 3-5 years of experience of handling human rights violation cases
ï‚· Ability to supportcases in accordance with national and international legal and human rights frame work.
ï‚· Work experience in safer migration sector would be an advantage
ï‚· Result oriented, ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain deadlines
ï‚· Experience of documentation and report writing skills
ï‚· Fluency in Nepali and English both in writing and speaking
ï‚· Knowledge of computer i.e word, excel, power point

PNSS was established to rescue distressed migrant workers in Saudi Arabia. Few years later, realizing need of an organization that can coordinate between migrant workers in Nepal and in the destination countries and among the stakeholders, Pravasi Nepali Coordination Committee (PNCC) got established and registered in 2009.
