Job Description
Responsibilities:

Serve as the technical advisor for supported local governments and selected partner institutions on Capacity Development for implementing reform measures

Identify key issues concerning capacities of local governments and develop strategic approaches for addressing needs
-
Support partner institutions and key actors at national and subnational levels in their efforts to establish coordination/exchange strategy and forums
-
Coordinate with and support relevant Programmes in the priority areas of German Development Cooperation on the issue of municipal service delivery
-
Prepare regular updates/briefings on local governance reform and restructuring scenario
-
Contribute to the monitoring of impacts and documentation
Required qualification and experience:
-
University degree in Political and Social Sciences, Public Administration, Economics, Law or any other relevant field
-
5years of progressive work experience in the field of local governance, capacity development of LGs, and civil society related issues
-
Knowledge of Nepal's local governance and restructuring/reform process, local governance capacity issues and challenges
-
Familiarity with the systems and procedures of Government partners, DPs and civil society actors
-
Proven leadership and interpersonal skills
-
Team player with good communication skills (both spoken and written) in English and Nepali
-
Excellent computer skills
