Job Description
- Install, configure, troubleshoot and provide customer support on various MPEG, SMS & Billing devices like multiplexer, RF Gateways, Encoders, Transcoders, MPEG-2/ MPEG-4 and SD IRDs, Router, Optical nodes, Converter and Amplifiers.
- Real time monitoring of system using NMS and DecTek input/output adapter.
- Diagnosis of problems related to troubleshooting any Transport Stream
- Installation and planning of RF and ASI (Asynchronous serial interface) cabling operation.
- Maintain accurate and complete headend documentation & reporting.
- Responsible for maintaining the headend in a clean and orderly manner.
- Perform daily check of RF Levels and Headend alignment.
- Utilize computer software and test equipment for variety of measurements.
- Manual testing of Set top box and QA/Running test cases.
Job Specification
- Candidates having BE in Electronics & Communication/Computer are highly preferred or must have BSC CSIT degree.
- Knowledge in setup and operation of headend equipment including but not limited to: signal processors, modulators, demodulators, satellite receivers, integrated receiver descramblers, digital receivers, and transcoders, combining and splitting networks, laser transmitters, fiber optic receivers.
- Basic understanding of frequency spectrum and modulation schemes.
- Familiar with setup and operation of cable and basic networking equipment (RJ45, Fiber splicing, Ethernet cabling).
- Proficient with software programs for storage and archival of test equipment results.
- Willing to travel and relocate all over Nepal
- Flexibility to work in shifts
