Advocacy and Communications Manager (based in Kathmandu)
Key responsibilities:
This role is responsible for leading the advocacy and communication initiatives of CARE Nepal Country office and providing leadership in these areas to the rest of the organisation. The incumbent will strengthen CARE Nepal’s internal and external communications, support staff and partners in developing programme-related communication and advocacy initiatives, and manage the publication of important promotional materials related to CARE Nepal. The role is required to lead on the preparation and production of CARE Nepal’s communication materials as welll as provide support to CARE Nepal’s Senior Management Team in liaison, co-ordination and reputation management with our partners, other I/NGOs, civil society networks, government stakeholders, journalists and media organizations.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Master’s degree in media, communications, advocacy, sociology or other relevant field with a minimum of five years
experience in relevant field of work, e.g. communication, journalism, information management, public relations, media,
advocacy
