The Embassy of Denmark, the Embassy of Switzerland/Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, and the UK's Department for International Development (DFID) in Nepal support a joint donor facility to manage coherent, harmonized, and coordinated financial and technical assistance on accountable, responsive, and inclusive governance. The three missions support this Governance Facility (GF) in line with the Aid Effectiveness Agenda. The program runs from 2014-2018.
The GF invites applications for a short term position of Administration and Finance Officer from interested and eligible Nepali candidates who will deliver results with the highest level of integrity. The position requires fluency in English and Nepali in speaking, reading, and writing.
ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE OFFICER (short term appointment)
The Administration and Finance Officer will provide operational support to specific GF partner/s to coordinate and assist with procurement initiatives, ensure GF compliance with high value for money and high stakeholder satisfaction, negotiating supply agreement with vendors and maintain effective documentation, prepare report and manage financial transactions. The Administration and Finance Officer will report to Senior Officer/s.
Required Qualifications: An advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in business administration, accounting, finance or a related discipline with not less than 3 years of work experience in administration, finance and procurement, in development sector. Experience of working with government agencies will be an added advantage.
Level, Location and Duration: A mid-level national position based in Kathmandu. Contract duration will be 3 months with possibility of 1 month extension.
